While these canned yams cost more than other brands, quite often what you get for your money is a can that is half full of yams and the rest is liquid. I tried calling this brand's customer service but to no avail. You cannot get a response.

I stopped buying this brand and started buying a cheaper brand because I was fed up with not getting my money's worth. Also, many times the potatoes look horrible. They have large black spots and the can contains a lot of small chunks that seem to be disintegrating from the manufacturing process or just being in the can itself too long. They are not very eye appealing at all.

I don't recommend buying this brand at all at any price. Save your money for another brand that will go further.

I have used Bruce's yams for years to make candied yams. This year all 4 cans are nothing but tiny bits of mush! Where are the large cut pieces from the past? The largest piece was about the size of a quarter. I didn't expect to have all 4 cans to have soft mushy yams. So disappointed in this product. It deserves zero stars. Unusable, wasted money and time!

I love how these are conveniently in the van and they are sweet. Living in AZ for some reason I find it difficult to buy yams in the fresh fruit and vegetable section. I felt the canned ones were cheating (preparation) but these are not. It’s the same outcome but less time. I do not like how the veins from the yams are still in the can because they are hard like strings of plastic so when I dump the can I look for them and pull them out. I add butter, salt, nutmeg, sugar and cinnamon along with vanilla extract and toss it all into my slow cooker. The end result is soo delicious but don’t take my words for it, try it. 💯

Like Bruce's yams but now I have 5 or 6 large cans that we can't open They don't have the regular silver colored tops and bottoms they are heavy duty copper colored tops. My B%26D can opener laughed and wouldn't even clamp onto them. Couldn't punch a hole with a big knife, either. Will ask for refunds.
