July 1, 2024I had no clue what I was missing all these years without a food processor! I have always preferred to slice and chop food by hand and only recently decided to finally give a food processor a try since I'm so busy and always trying to find ways to make my life easier. The seven-cup processor is the perfect size for my family of five. After about ten meals, I have not found myself wishing it had more capacity. The sleek design looks perfect on my countertop and does not take up too much space. The instructions were clear, and everything was simple to put together. The bowl simply clicks into place with no twisting necessary. Everything is dishwasher-safe, which is a major plus for me, and I don't have to find extra space for them. I also love that you can store the blades inside the bowl, so it's harder to lose them. It comes with a multipurpose stainless steel blade to chop, puree, mince, or mix, as well as a reversible medium slicing/shredding disc. One side of the disc slices things such as fruit, cheese, and vegetables, and the other side shreds things such as potatoes, cabbage, vegetables, and cheese. There are three speeds on this processor; low, high, and pulse. I find that the pulse setting makes it much easier to chop foods, such as onions, to keep them from becoming minced or pureed. The ease of shredding blocks of cheese is worth the total price of the processor all by itself. A 1 pound block fits perfectly down the chute, and it's completely shredded within seconds. The only drawback is that pieces of cheese sometimes get stuck within the lid, but it's not much, so it's not a dealbreaker. It's not loud at all, and it's really easy to scrape food from the bowl after taking out the blade. There is a learning curve if you're not used to using a food processor, but luckily, there are a lot of great videos out there, and this appliance makes it super easy. Luckily, I have saved money, in the long run, using a processor because I have stopped purchasing shredded or pre-cut foods and buy bulk now instead.

July 3, 2024*I received this product for free to review* The Kitchen Aid Food Processor is a great example of a SOLID product. Sitting at a 7 cup capacity, it is in my eyes the perfect balance of capacity:size, and as stated below, a big advantage to this appliance is just how easy it stores! DESIGN: The appliance has a great feel in its design and using its 3 buttons (low, HIGH, and Pulse) has good feedback, and LEDs to show when active. It sits at 6.6 pounds, which is respectable for a device of this size (7 Cups!). Please be weary if placing this in a high up cabinet and especially do not lift the device from its plastic bowl/attachment, only hold at the base! I LOVE how easy the device is to “break down” and store! The cord wraps up underneath the device and all accessories fit in the bowl, taking up very minimal space for something that is “large”!! The main bowl has a very tight/secure latch to ensure no accidents occur. Similarly the “feed tube” is rugged and I have had no issue with anything going down it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ATTACHMENTS/FUNCTION: The Kitchen Aid food processor comes with a standard multipurpose blade, and a slicing/shredding disk. Both perform their jobs very well with no comments on any issues/concerns! I have use them to Shred, Chop, Slice, and Puree with absolutely no hassle! (If there is any question, the instructional guide is very through in this!) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ CLEANING: All parts of the device (besides the electrical base) are dishwasher safe and clean easy!! This may seem like a small point but it very important to me as it make cleaning after a long use of it a cinch! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would recommend this device to ANYONE who is needing a food processor, or is looking for an upgrade to one they already have. The KitchenAid brand shows quality in multiple instances, and this appliance is just another example of that. You should not be disappointed! OVERALL SCORE: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Happy chopping! 🥕🍅🥒

June 30, 2024This KitchenAid food processor has a lot going for it. It's a KitchenAid product, so its clever design and quality build are to be expected, and it doesn't disappoint in those aspects. This appliance is very simple and intuitive to use, and all the blades and accessories are easily stored right in the work bowl itself. It comes with a multipurpose blade for chopping, mincing, mixing, or puréeing. It even kneads dough! There's also a cutting disc included for slicing and shredding things like vegetables, fruits, cheese, and chocolate. Foods are inserted into the feed tube, helped along by the food pusher, and they are processed, whether sliced or minced or shredded, very quickly. This machine makes short work of whatever is thrown at it, at least in my limited experience. My favorite thing about it might be how incredibly quiet it is! My Ninja makes an awful racket, regardless of what operation is selected, and I expected this KitchenAid processor to do the same. To my surprise, it's actually shockingly quiet! My husband was standing in the kitchen when I first used it, and he thought I hadn't. even turned it. It's not completely silent, of course, but it isn't loud at all, so you can have a conversation while it's doing its thing, and that's a great feature. I also love that this thing isn't too heavy, and it's so easy to wash that it nearly cleans itself. Unfortunately, there are a few problems with this machine, at least for me, personally. The first is relatively minor, but will probably be true for many other people, and that is that this food processor is too tall to fit underneath my upper cabinets, so I can't keep it on my countertop. That's not a big problem, but it is something of an inconvenience. However, for me, the bigger problem I have with it is that it doesn't work well for some of the particular foods I most frequently need to chop or slice. For example, I use cucumbers a lot, whether in salads or smoothies or to add to water. For salads, I like to slice them, but standard American cucumbers won't fit through the feed tube in the lid of this device. I have to cut them lengthwise into halves or even quarters, which isn't how I want to present my cucumber slices. Another vegetable I use almost daily is the onion. While I could use this food processor to slice or chop them, I can't get a decent-sized dice, and that's what most of my recipes require. This machine chopped my onions, sure, but the pieces were kind of raggedy and not uniform in size. Overall, I think this is a really good kitchen appliance. The design is mostly good, though the assembled machine is too tall to stand on most countertops without interference from upper cabinetry. Its operation is smooth and effective, and surprisingly quiet, but none of that matters if it doesn't work on the foods I use most often. Depending on your needs, I would say this processor deserves somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars. I'll round up for a generous 4-star rating, but with some major caveats. I hope KitchenAid will improve some of these flaws in future versions.

July 25, 2024I’ve been in the market to purchase a new food processor for a while now, since my last one broke, so I was incredibly excited to receive this. It hasn’t disappointed at all! The capacity of this is pretty big, plenty large enough for anything I’ve wanted to make and it does a great job of processing even things like frozen fruit for smoothies. I love that it comes with the shred/grate plate, giving it even more flexibility in terms of what it can do. It processes most things very quickly and smoothly, and I love that it has a couple of different settings (including a pulse) to give you more control over the outcome. I was expecting this to be quite loud, but it’s honestly very quiet (for a food processor). I used to use a blender to make smoothie bowls in the morning for breakfast, and I always felt like it was incredibly loud and might wake up my roommates, but now I don’t have that worry! Obviously it does make some noise, it’s a machine, but it’s a lot quieter than my blender was and I feel like you can barely hear it outside of the kitchen when it’s running. There are quite a few pieces to this food processor that end up needing to be washed after it’s used, but to be honest that’s really going to be the case for any food processor. With this one I actually really like that it can come apart into multiple pieces because it makes it a lot easier to clean the entire thing and make sure it’s fully clean after being used. I didn’t expect the lid to be removable, but it makes cleaning the bowl of the processor SO much easier. This feels like a piece of equipment that will live in my kitchen for a long time, and I’m looking forward to all the smoothie bowls and hummus I can make in it!
